The Licking Cat

sooooooooooooooo... yeah, the cat is still here... though I am suppose to take it to the animal shelter tomorrow (it has been closed for the past few days) and it has proven annoying enough to the children that they aren't even complaining that it has to go. The thing likes to stay up all night visiting each person and seeing how bad it can annoy them.

It has given us a few kicks and giggles while visiting. It is a little demented. Today it was drinking out of it's hand by using a cup on the table. I told Nate I wanted to get a picture of it doing it, but he wasn't patient enough to wait to kick it off the table.

The thing is a lick"er". When I let it into my house the first time (many mornings ago) it started to lick my hands and tried to lick my face. I thought that odd for a cat, but since then it has proven that it is much more odd than originally thought. It is like a baby that needs to stick everything in its mouth. The thing goes around licking walls, shoes, video's, toys... etc...

To prove it I took a picture of it licking the popcorn machine and the little popcorn boxes behind it. I sat there and watched it lick stuff for about five minutes. Sarah is never going to be able to touch the walls in my house again (she is a germaphobe).
In other news... I do have a Christmas post which will come in under this one when I finally feel like posting it. I have been extra sad the last couple of days. I got a really nice camera for Christmas that I lost. I moped around the house all depresso for a few days. Today at church we had some good sacrament talks about why bad things happen and what trials are for... so I have come to the conclusion that it isn't the end of the world and that life goes on... and as Nate said when I first thought I had lost it "it's not like it is a kid or something... you just buy a new one"... though he did tell me I can't have a new one right now... which is understandable. I have been using the kids new one, which I am NOT impressed with the photo quality (I don't know how they can say it is 10 mp). Who knows if I would have been impressed with the other camera's photo quality... I never got a chance to look at my pictures on the computer :-( Heck, I don't even know if it is worth buying the same camera. Well... onto life... it's pretty darn good... even without my christmas present.
