I woke up this morning with my normal Monday madness. I wanted my house clean.. and I didn't really want to do it... especially by myself... I mean why have kids??... It is definitely not why they think we have them (which is too serve their every need and get them anything they want and let them sit and waste away their days staring at anything that moves without them making it... by using any manual labor... thumbs don't count).
I rounded up the little munchkins and told them that they needed to clean their completely disgusting rooms. They responded by sitting there staring at the television (even though there was NOTHING worth watching on). I proceeded to get the camera out. This peeked their interest slightly. Then I walked up the stairs. They followed me. I started snapping pictures of there pig pen bedrooms. "What ya doing mom?" They asked. I told them I was taking pictures of what slobish little pigs I had to post on my blog. You would have thought I had just taken away their favorite dessert. They started yelling and whining, trying to take the camera away. James (luckily for him) made it into his room and locked me out before I could get his rooms picture.
Then they proceeded to clean their rooms. They are cleaner than they have been in months. I think the girls did one of the best "by themselves" jobs yet. Of course they aren't perfect, but I didn't have to do it so thats ok!
here is the girls room before

Seths before (he was trying to sit on his stuff so it looked less messy)
James after pic (he is almost 12 and that is still the best i can get from him???)
See you just have to be smarted than them! I have a pretty darn good life!

Okay, I'm going to have to try that, because my kids idea of cleaning is to clear a path down the middle. Even on a good day! They'd just die if they knew I was going to blog it. LOL
That is so awesome!!!!! Lets start planning our trip to Washington.
