The weeks end...

This week buzzed by quite quickly, though it seems like forever ago that we were in Lake Powell.

I took a math test on Friday. I had nightmares about it all night. In them I missed every question because I did all the math wrong. I hate dreaming lately.
I'm tempted to put a hold on mail these days. There is SO much paper in my house. The kids still come home and drop their oodles of paper all over the floor and I am suppose to sort through it and know what can be thrown away and what is homework. Urgghh. Then there are all the companies that have nothing better to do with money then send out loads of junk mail that I have to shred to even throw away. Then there are the other companies that actually need to send you stuff, but you can never find it because you have so much other crap lying around. It really starts stressing me out!
-K- so I thought up this great plan. Since I have all this shredded paper (because of those stupid wasteful companies) that I can't really recycle... but it is biodegradable... I decided I would add it to my mulch pile. It sounded like a really good plan when I thought of it. As I started walking to my mulch pile in the backyard with my bin full of paper shreds...the plan started to take a turn for the worst. There was a little breeze in the backyard... and... Well paper isn't that heavy... and it started to blow ALL over the place. I took it back in and went and dug a nice whole to dump it in. Then I dumped it in the hole and buried it. We'll see come next spring how biodegradable it really is!
The whole fiasco reminded me of the dumb idea I had to burn my credit card receipts in the sink (back when they contained all your credit card information on them). I had lots of them! It sounded like good idea when I thought of it because the water was right there if the fire decided to burn out of control (and it was going to be a lot faster than cutting them up or ripping them up)... it was a bad idea because I forgot that fire makes smoke. My fire alarms didn't forget and within a minute they were going off like crazy. The fire alarms had to be unplugged for that day and the house smelt like smoke for days. I am pretty sure that is when Nate bought me my shredder and told me not to play with matches.

I do the most brilliant things!
