As the school year raps up I am brought to tears. Though my kids can be a pain in the rear some days. They are also the joy of my life. They are my reason for waking up in the morning. They really are what my life is all about. The end of the school year makes it just a little more evident that life must go on... and with it my kids get ever so much bigger. A year older a year wiser.
At least we hope that is the case :-)
Nate is out of town this week. Sometimes it is a nice break to have him gone for a few days. His clothes are quite large and just a couple sets make a load of laundry. It is nice not to have to do laundry every day when he is out of town. lol
We did wake up with complications this morning. James had his award assembly and was required to wear Sunday best. That meant that he had to wear a tie. If Nate was around (like he usually is on Sundays) this wouldn't have been a problem, but so far in my life I had tied ZERO ties. I know that is just ridiculous, but I figured if I learned how it would just be ONE more thing that I would be required to do even if they could do it themselves (that is also why I roam around in circles with the lawn mower... if they thought I could mow the lawn... I would end up doing that too)... Well I have learned if at first you don't succeed... Google it. We proceeded to find a You Tube video that described it well enough that we got an ALMOST good looking knot. The small underneath part was a tad bit longer that the wide part, but hey it was my first time! so word to the wise (or unwise)... GOOGLE. It makes the world brighter.
