Flash From The Past: Mesa Verde

The summer after we moved to Casper we went on a work trip with Nate to Durango Colorado. The kids and I stayed in our travel trailer and took day trips out while Nate went to work. On one of the day trips I took all four kids (I think I must of been insane) up to Mesa Verde National Park to see the Indian ruins up there. The kids behaved pretty well, and even Ashlee was able to climb up and down the ladders and make it on the half mile hike down to the ruins and back up (though she did come away with a severe asthma attack and I had left her inhaler at home which was a cause of great stress on that trip).
Today I am going through all the computer Cd's trying to declutter the office and get rid of crap. While doing that I came across this CD of pictures from that trip so I thought I would share some.

It has been a bit amusing looking back at the pictures and remembering the kids at that time. Ashlee wouldn't be caught dead wearing a dress except to church and special events (such as weddings) now. Back then she would only wear dresses.
Emily has her "growing back" hair from when she let Seth be her hair stylist for the day and he chopped it all off. She would almost always let me do her hair (well actaully most the time she wanted to do it herself, but at least she would try to make it look nice), but Ashlee has never wanted her hair done (as you can see in the pics). And look at little Seth's pose. So cute! They grow up to fast!

Holy cow! They are all so little! And my goodness, what is up with Ashee's dress and sneakers? The poor child looks like a polygamist kid. No wonder she won't wear dresses anymore. Where was your fashion sense?
