Maybe that will motivate me to get the pictures posted that go along with them... or maybe not. Today is my last day of spring break. Tomorrow it is back to work (homework).
Still counting down days to Summer break. I am sure I'll go back to school in the Fall because as much as I hate it I also like that it keeps me busy during the day, but the summer is out FOR SURE.. I want/need to have a break.
I got Lasik in January and I am absolutely loving it. It is so nice to be able to see without having the potential risk of having glasses jammed into my face. I also got my braces off right before Christmas. Though I am in a retainer at nights for the rest of my life... which has taken a little time to get use to.
Nate is still chugging away with work. He also picked up a naughty little habit of playing Halo Wars on the x-box. It is bad enough the children play it. Uggh.
James is doing well for a thirteen year old. He hates his parents, he doesn't turn in any of his homework, and he has an ego the size of Texas, but I hear that is all normal behavior and so I am just trying to get through dealing with it day after day.
Seth is my favorite child, at least that is what all the other kids say and I live by the "if you can't beat them... join them" motto. He is doing really well in school. He is my little straight A child. He still spends way to much time building monsters on Spore and playing other computer games, but he has also taken up "uncle" thing and he practices break dancing daily.
Emily is getting prettier by the day. She has a sense of style, which didn't come from me... and she is already having to change her clothes four times before school starts to get her outfit PERFECT. She paints her nails daily! Today they are black and red. She goes through more nail polish than anyone I know. I am absolutely terrified that she will be a teenager in a couple of years. She already lacks doing what she is told to do. I am hoping it gets better, but assuming we are going to have a run for our money with her.
Ashlee... well what can I say about her. Of course I love her to pieces. I love all my kids to pieces. But I really think that they think there job is to make my head blow up. Ashlee is best at this. I am surprised I still have a head. She is doing really well in school and I am so proud of her. She has jumped up three reading levels in the last four months which is AMAZING! She is still behind grade level, but advancing daily. Her teacher adores her, and her classmates love her. AT HOME is another story. She has long finger nails that she likes to use to take large chunks out of her siblings arms. She follows me around all day playing BOSS of the world. "Do this...do that... I am going to count to 5. " She'll be a great parent, though her house will be in a state of chaos. "She ain't no cleaner... that is a waste of her (precious) time". I am frequently told "I told you so" by those who know her HOME personality and think I spoiled/spoil her to much. So warning: Though those youngest children look so cute, don't let them have everything they want. I still claim that I didn't but Nate just laughs when I say that.
SO ANYWAY... life is moving on like normal. We, of course, have a bunch of baby animals right now. It is chick season so we have 1 turkey and 13 chickies out in the garage. We also bought a baby lionhead a few months ago named CareBear. She is adorable.
One of these days I am going to plant my pea's out in the garden and then I'll have baby plants also. I think I have a baby addiction.

I think Ashee may have gotten a bit of her mommy in her. That finger nail bit sounds awfully familiar!
all those cortisone treatments made it pretty hard to deal with too, give yourself some leeway!!
