We took the girls on a hike up to Ruth's Lake in the Uinta's this weekend. The boys were at scout camp doing their OA (Order of the Arrow) ordeal for scouts.
We were being attacked by flies and bees in this picture.
Nate can't help it... the tongue just has to come out for a picture.
Emily was a good sport!
Ashlee was NOT!
The scenery was beautiful.
The scenery was beautiful.
Well another summer weekend is over. They are coming and going so fast I can hardly keep up! The girls will be starting school in two weeks and the boys will start shortly after. Some days are more chaotic than others and the hormones in this house are all running a tad bit on the high side with the close proximity day after day... but overall we have kept ourselves busy and happy doing the things we each enjoy.
Nate and the boys have been camping almost every weekend this summer. Sometimes it is with the rest of us, but most of the time it is with the scouts. The boys are trying to stay positive, but they are getting a little bit tired of sleeping on the hard ground.
The girls have been in swimming lessons the past two weeks. The have enjoyed it though Ash will say that she hasn't because she had to get up by 7:15 in the morning which was not her idea of fun. They now are onto one day a week lessons which are in the evening so I am hoping that is less of a fight to get her there. Emily has been able to get her strokes down pretty well and is excelling at a fast rate. Ashlee prefers flutter kicking... Or just flutter bodying, but she has come a long way from her doggy paddling that she was attempting to do a couple of weeks ago.
Well there is a short update. Hope everyone is having a good summer.
